MOM Compliance – What Employers Should Know

Okaylah operates within the employment agency licensing framework of Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Employers can — and should — verify any agency's licence and track record using MOM's official Employment Agencies Directory. Our own MOM EA licence number is 18C9071.

Key regulations we guide you through, per official MOM requirements:

First-time employers must complete the Employers' Orientation Programme before applying for a Work Permit

The standard maid levy is S$300/month for the first helper, reduced to a S$60/month concessionary rate for households caring for a Singapore-citizen senior aged 67+, a young child below 16, or a person with disability (MOM levy concession)

A S$5,000 security bond applies for non-Malaysian helpers, alongside mandatory medical and personal accident insurance (MOM – security bond)

Helpers must be female, aged 23 to below 50, from MOM-approved source countries at the time of application (MOM – MDW eligibility)
